140+ Years

of Longmont History

Originally built by William Henry Dickens — a relative of author Charles Dickens — the opera house opened its doors in 1881 and quickly became a hub for music, performance, and gathering in Longmont.

Over the decades, the space transformed from live theater to dance hall to saloon — and today, it’s been lovingly restored as a one-of-a-kind event venue that blends Victorian charm with modern convenience.

We believe events should be meaningful, effortless, and full of character. That’s why we’ve made Dickens Opera House a space where you don’t just rent a room — you become part of the story.
